Why medical missions? Why Kenya?

Matthew 9 tells us that Jesus saw crowds of people while teaching and healing and He had compassion on them. As we think about our time in Kenya and as we are met with literally crowds of people each morning, we want to have the eyes and heart of Jesus. We want to have that same compassion. Pray that we will. We desire to see people come to understand that we come there because of the compassion of Jesus shown to us.

It's been reported that malaria is the single biggest child killer in Africa. Also that there is a strong link between malaria and poverty in Africa because people with malaria are too weak and tired to work.

Please pray that the small amount we are able to do will make a difference in the lives of some.

We can do nothing!

"I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing." John 15:5

In 4 1/2 weeks 15 of us will be traveling to Kenya to do medical clinics in rural villages. Each of us must depend on God for what it is He has for us during that time (and as we prepare!). We need His wisdom, His provision and His strength. Pray with us please.
